Mariano Yogore
Dr. Mariano G. Yogore, Jr. (1921–2006) was a Full Professor in the University of Chicago Department of Microbiology beginning in 1959 and also Professor and head of Institute of Public Health at the University of the Philippines.
I must add that the support of Mariano G. Yogore Jr. during these years was also memorable.
He also had held the position of Research Associate and Professor in the Department of Molecular Genetics and Cellular Biology at Univ. of Chicago.
In 1945, he received his M.D. from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and finished his internship.
He joined the faculty at the U.P., working for the Institute of Hygiene and was selected by the institution to train at Johns Hopkins University where he received a Master of Public Health (1948), and later, the Doctor of Public Health (1957) degree.
